About Telangana State Education
Education in Telangana is regulated and developed by two different boards i.e (1) Telangana Board of Secondary Education, (2) Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education. These boards are responsible for conducting examinations and supervising educational activities in the State of Telangana. TBSE conducts secondary level examinations and TSBIE conducts higher secondary examinations in the State.
Telangana Board Details
TBSE History: Telangana Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) came into existence in June 2014. It is a Board of Education for government and private schools under the state government of Telangana. The Board controls and maintains all the educational events in the State of Telangana.
TSBIE History: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is an educational organization which executes and governs various educational activities. It was formed in 2014 and located at Nampally, Hyderabad.
Main Functions of TS Boards
- To grant affiliations to the institutions offering secondary and HSC courses.
- To prescribe syllabus and text books.
- To conduct examinations at school level.
- To prepare exam papers, text books, teaching materials etc.
- To set an eligibility criteria for teachers.
- To declare the examinations results.
