NTSE 2018: NTSE stands for National Talent Search Examination. NTSE is conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Through NTSE, NCERT aims to find talented students and help them grow in the right direction. NTSE Examination is for secondary school students only. The application form for NTSE 2018 Application Form will be distributed differently by different states. The last date of submission of NTSE Application Form also varies from state to state. You can follow these simple steps to download the application form for NTSE exam:
- Visit the official website of the conducting authority at www.ncert.nic.in
- Select the “Programmes” tab from the top of the home page.
- Click on “National Talent Search Examination” link in the menu.
- Now click on “Application Form for NTSE 2018” link on the web page.
- Your application form will be downloaded immediately in a PDF file.
Now, the application form for NTSE 2018 will be tentatively available in the month of September, 2018. The NTSE Stage-1 2018 Exam will be conducted in the month of November, 2018.
NTSE Eligibility Criteria
NTSE 2018 Eligibility Criteria help in deciding whether a student is eligible for NTSE examination or not. NCERT strictly follows its eligibility criteria and makes sure that no one is able to bypass it. The eligibility criteria for NTSE exam is as follows:
- Students must be studying in class 10th in a private/government school which is approved by the State/UT government.
- Students should not be enrolled in any other scholarship.

NTSE Selection Procedure
The selection procedure for NTSE examination is laid by the exam conducting body, NCERT. As per this prepared selection procedure, the scholars will be selected on the basis of marks secured in NTSE Exam only. NTSE exam is divided into two stages:
NTSE Stage-1 Exam: This exam is a state-level exam. NTSE 2017 Stage-1 exam aim to pick the talented students from their respective states. Students who will score marks more than the required marks in this NTSE exam, will be allowed to sit in NTSE Stage-2 Exam.
NTSE Stage-2 Exam: This exam is a national-level exam. NTSE 2017 Stage-2 Exam is the last round of NTSE examination. The students who score more than the cut off marks declared by NCERT will be selected for NTSE Scholarship.
