JMI School Admission Form 2025-26

Students who are interested in to take up admission in Jamia Middle School (Class I to VIII), Jamia Senior Secondary School (Class IX to XII), Syed Abid Husain Sr. Secondary School (Self-financed), Class Prep. to XII and Jamia Girls Senior Secondary School (Urdu Medium) Class IX to XII they have to complete the JMI Application Form 2025 within the stipulated time. The format of the application form should be akin (the same) as specified in the prospectus.

Jamia School Admission 2025 Important Dates (Expected)

  • Class 6, 9 & 11 online form begins from: March 2025
  • Last Date of application form submission: April 2025
  • Selection List: June/ July 2025

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for admission differ from class to class. Below in tabular form, we have given eligibility criteria for admission to class VI, IX and XI.

  • For admission to class VI, it is necessary to submit marks sheet of the qualifying examination.
  • For admission to IX and XI, It is necessary to submit the proof of passing VIII and X classes respectively. Required percentages are given in the table.

  • Those students who want to take mathematics subject in science/ commerce/ arts stream should have at least 41% marks or grade –C2 in math in the qualifying examination.
  • Percentage of marks will be calculated as per C.B.S.E Norms.

Date of Birth verification

  • The birth certificate issued by the previous school is required for admission to class VI and IX.
  • For class XI date of birth is verified from the certificate of class X issued by the board of examination.

Documents Required:

For the Admission in Jamia Millia Islamia following documents are required to submit. Necessary documents are mentioned below.

  1. Marks sheet of the qualifying examination.
  2. Date of birth certificate.
  3. Character certificate from the previous school.
  4. Certificate of the claimed category of reservation.
  5. Duly filled and signed self-declaration form.
  6. Admit card of concerned admission test generated on-line.
  7. Transfer certificate from the previous school.

In case of Foreign Passport Holder (FPH)

  1. Application form duly filled
  2. Marks sheet of the last examination passed
  3. Proof of age
  4. Copy of valid passport and visa

In case of NRI

  1. Application Form duly filled
  2. Marks sheet of the last examination passed
  3. Proof of age
  4. Copy of the passport of parents working abroad
  5. Translated and attested copy of work permit/ license to work/ valid working visa of parent
  6. Translated and attested copy of the residence permit of a parent
  7. Letter from the employee of the parent
  8. Affidavit on the Rs. 10 stamp paper from the parent for financial support
  9. NRI status certificate issued by the Indian embassy in the concerned country

  1. Statement of proof of marks for the qualifying examination
  2. Birth certificate from previous school
  3. Character certificate from previous school
  4. Transfer certificate from the previous school

The Admission will be cancelled If :

There are two conditions if they are not fulfilled than admission will be cancelled.

  1. The original copy of the migration or school- leaving certificate duly counter signed by the inspector of schools/ education officer is not submitted within two weeks of the last date of completion of admission.
  2. Receipt of admission fee is not submitted in the office of the concerned school by the last date.

Note:

  • Late Fee of Rs.200.00 will be charged if admission formalities are completed by 2nd week of July 2025 after the last date mentioned above in case of Classes (VI, IX, X, XII)
  • Late Fee of Rs.500.00 will be charged if admission formalities are completed from 2nd week of July 2025 in case of Classes (VI, IX, X, XII)
  • Late Fee of Rs. 200.00 will be charged if admission formalities are completed by 2nd week of August 2025 after the last dates mentioned above (Class XI).
  • Late Fee of Rs. 500.00 will be charged if admission formalities are completed from 3rd week of August 2025 (for Class XI)
  • No request for re-admission shall be entertained after the Last week of  August 2025.

Per annum fee structure for supernumerary seats is mentioned in the table

  • Students from SAARC Countries will get a fee concession of US $ 200

  • The amount of 8000/- Rs. Will be submitted as library and computer laboratory security.
  • The security amount will be refundable after the successful completion of the course.
  • In the case of cancellation of admission, the security amount of 8000/- Rs will be refunded
  • The fee remains unchanged for the entire duration of study in Jamia School.
  • When NRI students pass the admission test they pay the same fee as Indian Students.

Note:

Reservation criteria for admission to all the courses shall be as under

Categories of Reservation

As a consequence thereof, the reservation of seats for admission to all the courses shall be as under:

  •  50% of the total number of seats are reserved for General Category students ii.
  • 30% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for the applicants who are Muslims.
  • 10% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for the women applicants who are Muslim.
  • 10% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for the applicants of “Other Backward Classes” (OBC) and Scheduled Tribes who are Muslims (as per the notified list of the Central Government).
  • 5% of seats in all courses shall be reserved for Differently-abled Persons in accordance with the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995.

The amended Ordinance and the detailed conditions regulating the admissions in the above said categories have been posted on the Jamia Website at www.jmi.ac.in.

Reservation and Relaxation Under Special Provisions

Kashmiri Migrants

  • Kashmiri migrants are required to apply and go through the entire admission process. Their admission will be considered over and above not exceeding 5% of the total seats in the program and not exceeding two seat in programs offered by school.
  • Candidates seeking admission under this category will not be required to submit domicile Certificate. However, they will have to submit a certificate in support of their claim of being Kashmiri migrants obtainable from the registered Divisional Commissioner of the concerned State/Union Territory.

Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir

  • Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir are required to apply and go through the entire admission Process. Their admission will be considered over and above not exceeding 2 seats in each class and streams offered by school.
  • Candidates seeking admission under this category will be required to submit a state-domicile certificate in support of their claim of being from Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Note:
    The candidates seeking admission under reservation category will have to submit a category certificate duly certified by any one of the following officers.
    (i) District Magistrate/ADM/Collector/Dy. Commissioner/Addl. Dy. Commissioner/Dy. Collector/1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/City Magistrate
    (Status not below the rank of the 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate), Sub Magistrate/Taluqa Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant
    Commissioner.
    (ii) Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.
    (iii) Revenue Officer (Not below the rank of Tehsildar), Sub-Divisional Officer of an area where the candidate and or his/her family has a permanent domicile.
    (iv) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his/her family normally resides.
    (v) Administrator/Secretary to Administrator/Development Officer (Lakshadweep Islands).
  • The candidates are required to submit a self-declaration on prescribed proforma in support of category claimed (like Muslim, Muslim women, Muslim OBC, Muslim ST etc.) at the time of admission as under:

Admission of Foreign/ NRI Students under Supernumerary Seats:

  • 15% seats and above the regular seats may be filled as “Supernumerary Seats”.
  • 10% out of the 15% Supernumerary seats shall be reserved for foreigners.
  • 5% out of 15% of supernumerary seats shall be reserved for “Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
