NTSE 2025 Important Dates
Stage 1 of NTSE will be conducted in November 2025 for all States and UTs. There are total 35 exam cities (centers) are available for the stage 1 examination.

NTSE Selection Process
All the applicants who appeared this examination they all have to clear the NTSE 2025 Selection Process to get the scholarship. Following are the give selection process which is given as follows.
NTSE Stage 1: The first stage of NTSE 2025 is being conducted by States/UTs in a three-day window of November 2025. Any candidate studying in Class X can register themselves to appear at this stage.

What is NTSE Exam Stages?
The exam is conducted in 2 stages i.e. stage- 1 and stage- 2. The Stage 1 examination is conducted in the state itself and called a state level examination while the stage 2 examination is the National Level exam which is conducted at the NCERT.
NTSE Stage 1 : State Level Examination
Under the State Level Examination of NTSE each state conducts its own examination. This exam is recommended for a given number of candidates for the second level test to be conducted by NCERT. On the basis of enrollment in classes IX and X in different states this number of candidates are considered.
The state level examination is conducted in all state/ UTs on the first Sunday of November except in Nagaland, Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar, Meghalaya and Mizoram. In this state this exam will conduct on 1st Saturday of November every year.

Eligibility Criteria For State Level Examination
- All the candidates who in class X of any board from the recognized school including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik School and Navodaya Vidyalaya are eligible to appear at the state level examination.
- No domicile restriction shall be imposed.
- The state may impose any other eligibility condition for appearing in the screening examination like qualifying percentage of marks in the previous annual examination.
- Students who registered under Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are also eligible for the scholarship provided the students are below the age of 18 years (From July 1st of that year).

The government of the state/ UT releases the notification through the advertisement in the newspaper or circulars in the school for the above examination and they need to act as per the details are given in the circular.

There is separately merit list is prepared by the State/ Union Territory for those candidates who given the exam and score separately the minimum qualifying marks in both the test.

NTSE Stage 2: National Level Examination
Similar to the Stage 1 the written exam consists of 2 papers i.e. Paper I (Mental Ability Test (MAT)) and Paper II (Scholastic Aptitude Test). Both the papers are conducted on the same day. All Remaining Details of the Stage 2 is Explained Below.

Eligibility Criteria for NTSE Stage 2
This exam is conducted for all students whether they are Indian citizens or study abroad in class X.
- Candidates Who Studying in India: Those candidates who are selected in the state level examination are eligible for national level examination.
- Candidates Who Study in Abroad: The Indian students who studying in class X or equivalent can also complete the for Talent Search Award but their some condition put for those.

There is no syllabus available for the National Talent Search Examination (NTS). A sample booklet is an available name as “Learn About The Test” contains sample items for MAT and SAT.

Medium Of Written Examination
The question paper consists of the following languages: Asamiya, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The candidates need to mention the option regarding the language of which he/ she want to take.
Marking Scheme
Each item in both the test carry 1 mark each. For every correct answer 1 marks is awarded to the candidate. There is no negative marking.
NTSE Stage 2 Admit Card
For every exam it is necessary to bring the admit card. The E-Admit Card for the second level examination will be available on the NCERT Website. The admit card consists of the information regarding the venue, roll number and date/ time of the test. Candidates are able to download their NTSE admit card before 21 days of the examination.

The cut of will is prepared on the basis of the examination result. Applicants who score good marks in the examination only they will be shortlisted. NTSE Stage 2 Result
The final award will be declared on the basis of MAT and SAT scores. Those candidates who are selected will be informed by registered letter through the official website of NCERT.
