About HP Board
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) was established for providing education and supervising educational activities in the State of Himachal Pradesh. It is an educational organization which works under the government of Himachal Pradesh. Board is responsible for providing quality education to all the students who are enrolled in various schools of HP Board. There are many private and government schools which are affiliated by HP Board. The Main functions of HP Board are given below.
HP Board Details
Historical Overview: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education was established in 1969 as per Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968. Its head-quarter was situated at Shimla which later shifted to Dharamshala in January 1983. This board sarted with staffs of 34 officials which are now increased to 438. At present more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the Board. The Board has about 1650 examination centers in the State.
HPBOSE Key Objectives/ Goals
- To Conduct secondary, higher secondary, J.B.T and T.T.C examinations.
- To provide affiliation to all willing schools.
- To prepare syllabus and courses as per industry need.
- To make rules and regulations for all schools.
