JEE Mains Counselling 2024- JoSAA CSAB Registration, Seat Allotment Result

JEE Main Counselling & Seat Allotment 2024 (जेईई मुख्य परामर्श और सीट आवंटन): The registration for this year’s joint seat allocation on the basis of JEE Main 2024 has begun. Those students who appeared in JEE Exam (Main) 2024 between 21st April and 4th May 2024 (Expected)can now register for JEE Main Counselling 2024. Like the previous year, Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is the body managing and conducting the JEE Counselling this year. The counseling process involves seven rounds of seat allocation and it will take place in online mode on the official website of the authority. JEE Main Counselling Procedure 2024

The JoSAA Counselling 2024 will have seven rounds of seat allotment. The whole Counselling process will occur in online mode on the official website of the authority. Currently, JoSAA Registration is going on and as per the schedule, it will in the month of June 2024. Step by step JoSAA Counselling Process can be found in the sub-points below:

A. JoSAA Registration 2024: The first phase requires the students to register at the joint seat allocation portal. You can visit it by clicking here. It must note that the students who have only appeared in JEE Main 2024 (not JEE Advance) can only register for seat allocation in NITs and IIITs. The last date for JEE Counselling Registration in the month of June 2024.

B. Filling-in of Choices: During this phase, the students may fill-in their choices of Institutes and branches in decreasing order of their preference. The students are advised to fill as many numbers of choices as possible for a name in JoSAA Rank List. The first JoSAA Seat Allocation List will be released in June 2024. In between this phase, mock allocation lists will publish for the students who have already locked their list of preferred colleges/ institutes.

C. Locking of Choices: The students must lock their list of preferred colleges/ institutes before the deadline date. If a student fails to lock his/ her list their last saved changes will take as their final preference list and no complaints will take regarding this affair.

D. JoSAA Seat Allotment & Acceptance:

Before allocating a seat to any student, the authority will consider his/her caste (General, SC, ST or OBC), All India Rank (AIR) and the list prepared by the student. After a seat allocated to a student, he/ she must report to the nearest JoSAA Reporting Centre to pay seat acceptance fee (Rs. 45,000 for General and Rs. 20,000 for SC/ ST/ OBC) and documents verification. JEE Main Counselling Documents Required:

The student must generate the following documents in original while reporting at the center:

• 3 passport size photographs (the same as uploaded during registration)
• Provisional JoSAA Seat Allotment Letter
• Photo Identity Card (ID)
• Seat Acceptance Fee Payment Receipt
• JEE Main 2024 Admit Card
• Proof of Date of Birth
• JEE Main 2024 Score Card
• Class XII Mark sheet
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
