Education in Karnataka regulates by two boards which are namely Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) and Department of Pre University Education (PUE). KSEEB is responsible for conducting secondary level and other examinations. Karnataka PUE Department conducts pre-university examinations (1st& 2nd year).

Karnataka Board (KSEEB) Details
Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has been introduced by the government of Karnataka to increase education level in the State. Board came into existence in the year of 1966 to improve the quality of education in the State. It conducts secondary school leaving certificate (SSLC) and other examinations on school level.
About Karnataka PUE
The Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka is an organization which functions under the department of primary & secondary education. It is responsible for pre-university examinations including 1st& 2nd year examination. Board offers 2 year course in Arts, Science and Commerce streams.
