Ishan Uday Scholarship Eligibility
The eligibility for the UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship according to the government norms are.
- The student applying for the UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship must be a domicile of the NER(northeastern region).
- The student must have passed the class 12th or equal examination from a school/institution situated in the NER (northeastern region).
- As per the UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship Eligibility, Only the first year undergraduate students are eligible for applying for the UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship.
- For the integrated degree courses the grant will be issued for the complete duration of this course.
- For the dual degrees done by the applicant, the grant will be issued for one-degree course only.
- The net family income of the student availing this scholarship must be less than Rs. 4.5lakh per annum.
- Trans-genders who are willing to apply for this scholarship are eligible (welcomed) too and a reservation will be followed as the central government norms.
There are some notable exclusions (non-eligibility)
- The students that are availing any other scheme.
- The students pursuing any course from an open university.
- Students of the management quota.
- Students pursuing UG & PG diploma courses.
- Students whose family income is more than Rs/ 4.5 lakhs

Ishan Uday Scholarship Online Registration 2024
The students will be selected for the scholarship on the basis of the marks that they have scored in the class 12th.
Process for UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship registration.
- Either create an account or login into the website ugc.ac.in
- Click on the e-start icon located in the quick links on the homepage.
- Select the UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship from all the scholarships that are listed there.
- If you full fill the eligibility criteria then fill the respected form with genuine information.
- Attach/ upload the required documents along with the form.
- Make sure to take the printout of the form before submitting it.
- Finally, preview the filled form and click submit.
UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship Documents Required

- A continuation certificate (from the university) is to be submitted quarterly.
- The assurance of not taking benefits under any scholarship (on an Rs. 50 stamp paper attested by SDM/first class magistrate / gazetted officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar ) is to be submitted by the applicant.

Following doucments are required to be submitted:
1. Domicile certificate to be issued by the competent authority.
2. Proof of annual income to be issued by the competent authority.
3. For renewals, the annual progress report and continuation of studies will be required to be uploaded/ verified by the concerned University/ Institution/ College.

Sir, please extend the last date for submission because the colleges are closed for Durga puja vacation from 21/10/2020 to 02/11/2020. As a result, the documents ie bonafide certificate and others documents will not be completed or impossible by college’s authority within the last day of submission. So , how will we submit on time? Please sir , extend the last day of submission for a period of one week for the greater interest of NER and specially for Assam region.
