JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Test 2025: JBNSTS Junior Scholarship is rewarded by Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) Kolkata to the candidates who are studying in Class XI of West Bengal to identify and nurture the science talent in them.
JBNSTS Scholarship is rewarded on the basis of merit in JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Test which is scheduled in August 2025. JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Eligibility
A student must ensure his eligibility in the JBNSTS Junior Scholarship before filling the application form. The JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Eligibility is as follows:
- Only the domiciled residents of West Bengal can appear in the scholarship exam.
- The student must have passed Class X with at least 75% marks in the Board Examination.
- The student should have taken admission in Class 11th in Science stream with any three or more subjects out of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or Biology.
Steps to Fill JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Application Form
The application form for JBNSTS Junior Scholarship 2025 available on the official website. The distribution of the application form has begun from June 2025. There are two ways for the students to fill the JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Application Form:

A. Offline Method –
The application form can be downloaded from the website of JBNSTS and submitted to the office before the last date of submission along with an SBI Challan of Rs.100/- as application fee.
B. Online Method –
The application forms now available on the website and candidates can fill online at the JBNSTS Junior Scholarship page before the last date (July 2025). Selection Process
The selection process of JBNSTS Junior Scholarship 2025 is as follows:
- Written Test – JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Test scheduled to conduct in August 2025 at various test centers in West Bengal. The test will consist of Mathematical Science, Biological Science, and Physical Science. The exam will be 90 marks in total and the duration will be of 2 hours.
Note: There will be no negative marking.
- Interview – The short-listed students are invited for the interview round at a given time & venue. The scholarship awarded for the candidates who clear the interview round. Students advised carrying a hard-copy of the interview letter along with the required documents when reporting for an interview.
- Creativity Test – The students in this phase are evaluated on the basis of their creative skills as per various situations. This phase is the third and last phase of the JBNSTS Scholarship.

JNBSTS Junior Talent Search Test Syllabus
JNBSTS Junior Question Paper will cover the basic topics of Mathematics, Biology & Physics. The level of the examination will be the same as the level of the annual examination of the preceding class of the student. Some additional topic which student already studied in Class XII may come under JNBSTS Junior Scholarship Syllabus.
JBNSTS Admit Card 2025
The students who filled the application form by offline mode will receive the admit card one week prior to the scholarship exam. Those who have filled it online will be able to download the JBNSTS Junior Admit Card from the website in August 2025.
JBNSTS Scholarship Exam Result
The result of the JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Test & Interview Round will be published on the official website of the authority. JBNSTS Junior Result declared after each round and only the qualifying students will be allowed to appear for the next round.
Scholarship Amount
The JBNSTS Junior Scholarship is for the students who have passed the Secondary School (Class 10th) in the year of application. The selected students are rewards with scholarships up to Rs. 1,000/- a month & annual book grant of Rs.2500/- for two years (Class XI & XII).
