KVS Meghalaya Admission Eligibility Criteria

Parents must re-assure the eligibility of their children in Kendriya Vidyalaya to avoid any problems in the future. Kendriya Vidyalaya Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

• A child must be 5 years old as on 31 March in the academic year in which admission is for Class 1.

• Click on the “Apply Online” link located on the right side of the home page.
• Read the KVS Admission Guidelines carefully.
• Fill-in the KVS Application Form by filling the asked details.
• Re-check/ Review your filled details for errors.

KVS Meghalaya Admission Process

A. For Class I – The admissions in Class I will be granted to the students on the basis of the lottery system & under Right To Education (RTE) Act. An average of 40 vacant seats in each Kendriya Vidyalaya in Class I.

B. For Class II-VIII – The admissions in Class 2 to 8 will be granted as per the Priority Category System (Category 1 to 5). If the applications are more than the number of vacant seats, then the lottery system will be followed for each category separately including the single girl child quota (Class VI onwards).

C. For Class IX – An admission test shall be conducted for admissions in Kendriya Vidyalaya Class IX. A merit list will be prepared for each category in the Priority Category System. KVS Admissions are granted in the sequence of priority categories in the order of merit.

D. For Class XI – Kendriya Vidyalaya offers different streams viz Science, Commerce & Humanities. Admissions granted on the basis of CGPA scored by the student in Class X examination as under:

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Test Pattern

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Test conducts for admissions of class IX only. The admission test shall be conducted in the subjects, Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science & Science.
