who can apply for vidyasiri scholarship – Eligibility
This scholarship works on all the levels of education basically starting when the student is in 12th and all the way up to postgraduate levels.
The eligibility conditions that are prescribed by the government of Karnataka for the Karnataka Vidyasiri Scholarship are.
- The student must be a domicile of the state of Karnataka to apply for the scholarship
- The family’s annual income from all the sources must not be more than Rs. 2,00,000/-
- The student belonging from a converted Cristian family must not have an annual income higher than 2.5lakhs
- The student that applies for this scholarship must be from the rural area of Karnataka.
- The minimum distance between the college and the student’s residence must be 5 km.
- The student must have passed all his previous examinations without a backlog.
- The students that reside in a hostel or PG can also apply for this scholarship.
- The applying student must belong to a minority, a backward class or the parents of the student’s family must have an annual income lower than the prescribed limit of the society

- Caste certificate attested by the tehsildar or sub- tehsildar
- Student Certification from the college

Vidyasiri Scholarship 2024 Amount
- The government after finishing the whole selection process will provide a stipend for the student who has been selected in the Vidyasiri Scholarship and this stipend will be transferred by the government online directly into the bank account provided by the applicant.
- Amount of the stipend – Rs.1500/-
NOTE: that the stipend will be given to students only for 10 months in a year.
