National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)

The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national level two-stage scholarship examination that is extended by the NCERT for the students that perform outstandingly in this examination. Well, the first level of this examination is taken by the SCERTs of each and every state.

So in Andhra Pradesh, it will be taken by the SCERT AP. The students that are in the class 10th are eligible to appear for this examination. The national level (stage two) of this examination is taken by the NCERT.  The registration process and the dates of this examination may vary as per the states but generally, this exam is taken by the states in the months of August to the may of the next year. Around  Rs 1250 for Higher/Senior Secondary level students are awarded under this scheme.

National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS)

The NMMS or the National Means Merit Cum Scholarship is a national level scholarship that is offered by the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development of India). To the students that are financially weaker students that are almost dropping their education because of money.

The students under this scheme are awarded Rs. 1000/- per month (Rs- 12000/- per annum) for the time period of 2 years.  The students that are appearing in this examination just need to verify the exam dates carefully as the dates of the NMMS and NTSE generally clash. The students of the class 8th are eligible for this examination.

AP National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)

Is an annually issued national level scholarship that is extended by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). To the students that are interested in pursuing their careers in the field of science and technology.

Under this scheme, the students from the class 11th/ 12th (even further) are awarded grants to help them finance their education in the future. The selection under this process is based upon the qualification of an examination which is held annually. So Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is also applicable on the state of Andhra Pradesh.

National Scheme of Incentive to Girls for Secondary Education

The NSIGSE is the scholarship scheme that is offered by the central government. This is designed to decrease the total number of dropouts from the education especially in the SC/ ST communities of the society.

Under this special scheme for girls Rs. 3000/-pm are submitted in the account of the applying girl in the form of a fixed deposit when she enrolls for the scheme. The girl is valid to withdraw the amount when she passes the class 10th and has achieved 18 years of age.

National Scholarship For students with Disabilities

Under these schemes are offered to the students that have disabilities that are listed under the PWD and RPWD acts. Further, this scheme is offered by the central government and the students can apply for this on the official site of the national scholarship portal.

Jnana Bhumi Scholarship 2024-25

This Scheme is offered by the state government of the Andhra Pradesh in order to provide the students with the equal opportunity for an education. So this scholarship is offered to economically backward families.

Vidyadhan Scholarship

The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF), has offered the students of the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF), has offered this Vidyadhan Scholarship for the students on the completion of class 10th. This Vidyadhan Scholarship is awarded in the form of an appreciation for their meritorious performance in the class 10th.

Under this, the students are offered Rs-6000/- per year for the 11th and 12th class. The students that score a 9.0 CGPA or 90% in the class 10th and have a family income less than Rs. 2 lakh.

Siksha Abhiyan Scholarship

Is the scholarship of the Modi Foundation. This scholarship is to help underprivileged students from class 8 to 12. Under this scheme, the students are chosen based upon an examination that is organized by the Modi Foundation.

The students under this scheme are offered the amount that varies from Rs. 50,000 for the rank 1 and around Rs 8000/- for the rank 5th of the examination. The students that are in between the classes 8th to the classes 12th are eligible for this scholarship.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to the female students nationwide. The students that have secured at least 60% or 6.2 CGPA in the CBSE class 10th can apply for this scholarship.

This Scholarship is offered to the female candidates in order to promote girls’ education in India. This scheme offers a sum of Rs. 500 for 2 years to the girl candidate.
