INBO 2025: Get Complete Details of Indian National Biology Olympiad

Indian National Biology Olympiad INBO 2025: The Indian National Biology Olympiad (INBO 2025) is conducted for those students who clear the stage I of the National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB).

The examination of NSEB is organized by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). This exam is the second stage and conducted at the end of November.  Candidates who are interested and preparing for the exam are able to get complete information regarding INBO 2025.

INBO 2025 Important Dates

It is expected that the exam of INBO for the year 2025 will be conducted in the month of Feb. We will provide is the INBO Exam Date 2025 after it will release officially by the HBCSE.

Eligibility Criteria For INB1

We are mentioning here the eligibility criteria for biology Olympiad of INBO. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

• He/ she did not complete the class 12th board examination before 30 November 2023 (Expected).
• His/ Her date of birth is lying between July 1, 2004, and June 30, 2009 (both the days are included).
• He/ She must not appear in NSEJS.
• Candidate must be eligible to hold an Indian passport. As per the High Court order of Madras, the OCI candidates will not be eligible for the selection to the Indian team in the International Olympiads. But such candidates are eligible (provisionally) for selection to all the prior stages up to and including OCSC (stage III) providing that they fulfill all the other eligibility criteria.
• Applying candidates must be residing and studying in India or must be residing in an Indian school system since November 30, 2022, or earlier.
• Must not have commenced (or planning to commence) studies in a university or equivalent institution by June 1, 2025.

Note: It is the responsibility of the candidate to check and full-fill the eligibility criteria. If any of the stages it is found that the student not full-filling the eligibility criteria then he/ she will be disqualified from the future program.

Fee For Enrollment

Interested candidates need to submit the fee for the participation of Rs. 150 per student and per subject. The fee will be submitted at the NSE Registration center.

Steps To Do Enrollment In INBO Exam

We are providing here some of the steps from which candidates are able to enroll themselves. The steps are as follows:

• Visit the official site i.e. hbcse.tifr.res.in
• Click on Olympiad option.
• Click on the link of the upcoming events.
• Fill the NSE center code, roll number, DOB to enroll in INO.
• Choose the examination center at the time of registration.

Selection Procedure For Biology Stage II (INBO 2025)

• A total 250 number of students will be selected from each group for stage II of INBO. Hence, total 500 students will be selected.
• All the clauses which applied separately for each group. Clauses in given in the official pdf.
• For two groups the question paper of NSEB 2024 and INBO 2025 will be identical.
• The students batch will be divided into two groups i.e. Group- A & B. For Group A, students must be in class XII as from November 30, 2024 while in Group B, students who are in class XI or lower will come as from November 30, 2024.
• For each group, there will be separately Merit Index (MI) and Minimum Admissible Score (MAS) will be calculated.

Syllabus And Exam Pattern For INBO Exam

The syllabus of INBO, as well as NSEB for the first and second stage, is broadly equivalent to senior secondary level (till class XII) of the CBSE board. While the syllabus for the third stage is equivalent to the International Olympiad syllabus.

INBO Admit Card

INBO Result

After giving the exam many candidates are curious to know the examination result. All those candidates who given the exam are able to download their INBO Exam Result from the official site of HBCSE i.e. secure.hbcse.tifr.res.in/ino/. Candidates need to fill in some details and they are able to check their results.

 OCSC Exam Schedule For Biology: The Orientation-Cum-Selection-Camp is conducted at HBCSE center in the month of April to June. For the biology Olympiad, it is scheduled for 28 May- June 06, 2025 (Expected).
