IGKO Olympiad 2025- Apply for Class 1 to 10, Registration Form/ Exam Date

IGKO Olympiad 2025: The International General Knowledge Olympiad is a competency test to assess the proficiency of the students in the subject of General Knowledge. IGKO 2025 will be conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) on two different dates i.e. 6th and 26th September 2025 (Expected).

International General Knowledge Olympiad 2025

The IGKO SOF 2020 will be conducted in September and October 2025 at multiple SOF centres across the country. International General Knowledge Olympiad Registration is not open to the individuals, only schools can register for IGKO. To get your school registered with SOF following conditions must be fulfilled by the school:

• At least 30 students from each class must be appearing in the SOF Olympiad.
• A Teacher Coordinator is required to handle all the test-related tasks.

IGKO Important Dates 2025- 2026

Level- 1

Level-2

• 2nd level exam will be held on 2nd / 3rd Sunday of Feb 2025.
• 2nd level exam will be held for students from classes 3rd to 12th for IEO, NSO & IMO.
• IGKO & NCO will be single level exams.

Registration Fees

• Schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan & Nepal pay to SOF a registration fee of Rs 125* (including GST) per student / Olympiad towards the cost of the examination.
• Schools may charge an additional Rs 25** per student towards honorarium of in charge, remuneration to teachers to teach and guide, and for other expenses.
• No fee is payable for students suffering from any major physical disability, or an Indian student whose parent was martyred during defense operations.

*US$9 for other countries.
**US$1 for other countries.

International General Knowledge Olympiad Sample Papers 2025

International General Knowledge Olympiad Result 2025

The IGKO Result 2025 will be published by Science Olympiad Foundation 4-5 weeks after the test has been conducted. The students who have appeared on the scholarship exam will be able to check their International General Knowledge Olympiad Result on the official website or click on the link. The selected students will then be rewarded with the following awards:

Students Level Awards

*Medal of Distinction + Certificate of Distinction will be awarded for 1st level Ranks.
**Certificate of Zonal Excellence will be awarded for final Ranks.

*Medals are Gold / Silver / Bronze color plated as applicable
**For classes one & two only

At School Level

1. Medals to Class Toppers.

• 10 or more students from a class (including all sections) write an exam – the top three rankers will be awarded a gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
• Between 5 to 9 students from a class (including all sections) write an exam – the topper will be awarded a gold medal.
• In addition to above, for each section from a class, from where 25 or more students write an exam – the top three rank holders will be awarded a gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
• All students whose sections are not indicated will be allocated section “X” by default.

2. Student Performance Report (SPR)

• Every student who appears in SOF IGKO will be provided with an SPR. An SPR is a detailed analysis of how the student attempted the exam.
• The objective of this is to share with the student and her / his parents, analysis of student’s answers. This is expected to enable the student to understand her/his strengths and areas requiring improvement in absolute terms and also on a competitive scale consisting of lacs of students who appeared in the Olympiad.

The SPR consists of six sections:

• Section A – provides the student’s marks and rank achieved in School / City / Zone / at the international level.
• Section B – provides a section-wise performance score of the student.
• Section C – provides correct answers to questions asked in the Olympiad exam, the answers given by the student and performance comparison of the student’s answers v/ s other students in the Zone and at the international level.
• Section D – provides a percentage score analysis of the student with a comparison with the Class, City, Zone, and international level.
• Section E – provides a comparison of average marks analysis at the School, City, Zone, and international level.
• Section F – provides a comparison of the student’s performance in the Olympiad exams during the past 3 years.
