IMO Olympiad 2025: The International Mathematics Olympiad is a two-level test to assess the proficiency of students in the subject of Mathematics. IMO examination is organized for Class I to XII students by the Science Olympiad Foundation in the month of December at multiple schools across the country.
Registration of IMO is done from the official site of SOF in the month of February. Interested students can read more about the SOF IMO Olympiad 2025 along with the registration process, syllabus, sample papers and result in the article below.
International Mathematics Olympiad 2025
The Science Olympiad Foundation will be conducting the International Mathematics Olympiad test in July 2025. The IMO Registration can be done only by offline means. The student is willing to participate in IMO 2025 only if his/ her school is registered with SOF. If your school is not registered, please make sure your school fulfills the conditions given below:
• At least 30 students must be willing to appear for the olympiad test from each class.
• A Teacher Coordinator (TC) must be assigned by the school for hosting SOF Olympiads.

SOF IMO Syllabus
The SOF IMO Syllabus is similar to the curriculum followed by other CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board affiliated schools. However, the Olympiad test will consist of an extra section, Achiever’s Section. This section has the maximum marks allotted than any other section. Also, the IMO Exam Pattern is given below:

The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has released IMO Sample Papers on its official website for each eligible class. However, we will also provide you with the same sample papers here in this post.
